Bruce McDougall has written for major business publications in Canada including Canadian Business, the Report on Business Magazine and The Financial Post, and has worked on corporate assignments with some of Canada's leading companies, designers and public-relations specialists. He has also written or co-written sixteen books, including biographies of Ted Rogers and Edgar Bronfman Jr.

An honours graduate of Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he attended the University of Toronto Law School before becoming a full-time writer. At Harvard, he played freshman and junior varsity hockey and was an editor of the Harvard Lampoon and the Harvard Advocate and a Rhodes Scholarship finalist.
